Our big 2 year old

Cold had his check-up this week.  Here are the stats:
Height: 37 inches 97%
Weight: 28 pounds 56%
Head: 50 cm 89%

She said he is growing in to his head ;) and his weight percent has gone up so much!  He has been such a picky eater, I was worried.  And his daddy was very happy to hear that he was tall!  She also said that he is talking... A LOT!  We already knew that, but she couldn't believe how much he had to say in such a short time.  Justin attributes that to me.
Here are some of our favorite things about our 2 year old big boy...
  • He loves tractors and the pumpkin patch.
  • He is crazy!  No really... CRAZY.  He could run around for hours and never get tired
  • He bosses Winston around alot
  • He has such a great memory.  He remembered what all of his friends wore for Halloween
  • When I asked him what he wanted to read the other day, his answer was "the Bible"
  • He loves to tackle Justin and me.
  • His favorite things are Play-doh and horses
  • Every morning on the way to school he says "go dis way mommy!" and "look a cool bus!"
  • Justin and Colt have 'donuts with daddy' dates every Saturday morning.  It is the most precious thing.  He asks to go with daddy and get donuts almost everyday
  • He really wants to help us with everything.  Cooking, laundry, sweeping, using power tools...
  • We love the way he says "I wuz you mommy and daddy"
  • He is crazy, but mellow too.  He doesn't let stuff get to him.  He totally gets that from Justin
  • He is great at sharing.
  • He does not eat well.  He eats very little and nothing healthy, except cheese
  • His hair is still curly
  • He loves to be outside
  • He is really interested in animals
  • He just recently started to like reading books.  His favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear
  • He loves to sing.   His favorite is Bingo and "I just can't wait a be king" from Lion King
  • He calls his butt 'bup'
I could never say enough how much I love him.  Almost every night Justin and I look at each other when we tuck him in and say we can't believe how lucky we are to be his parents.

2 years old!

Colt turned 2 last weekend.  As always, the day flew by, and I didn't get enough pictures, but he had so much fun.  We started the tradition last year of taking him out for breakfast.  The day slips by too quickly, and it is a little moment just for the three of us.  We chose Ihop this year, which was eventful, but that is for another post.
Last year we promised we would not have his party at our house again, and what did we do?  Have it at our house again.  It went better than last year, but was still a little crazy.  Most of our family was able to be there.  My dad and Delaine are still in Greece, so they weren't there, but they got to skype with him in the morning.  All of our grandparents and friends made it which meant so much to us.  We feel very blessed to have so many people who care about Colt.
By far our favorite part of the day was having Colt's friends from school there.  He was able to run around with them, play on his new play set and share all of his new toys.  It literally brought tears to my eyes to watch him have so much fun with them.  Colt blew the candle out and ate the icing off his cake- he is not related to me!
By the end of the party, we were so exhausted, we barely made it to 7:00 before all three of us were asleep!  It was a great day and he has been talking about it ever since!!
