Word Explosion

A few weeks ago Colt started talking so much more.  He is forming more sentences and trying to communicate with us.  Unfortunately, we can't understand everything he is saying.  He also LOVES singing.  It is so fun to hear him sing along with me.  He is great at the end words of phrases.  He almost yells them.  "you are my SUNSHINE, my only SUNSHINE, you make me HAPPY, when skies are GRAY!"  He is so funny!  Best of all, at bedtime when we sing, he wraps his arms around my neck, snuggles in and sings with me.  And at prayer time, he says pray, folds his hands, bows his head and says AMEN at the end :)
Here are some of his sentences...

No, my ball!
Uh oh, where Daddy go?
Shoot the ball
Go home, Daddy, Winston?

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day.  We were able to celebrate Father's Day on Saturday with just the three of us.   Justin took a long run while Colt and I blew up the kiddie pool for the yard.  Then we went to the zoo.  It was SCORCHING hot.  We walked around for a while and for the first time, rode the train at the zoo.  It was Justin's idea and Colt LOVED it!
In the evening we went to a cookout at Karri's house.  Delaine's parents are in town from Alabama, so we were able to hang out with them and spend some time with my family.
On Sunday, we went to church at E91 and then went to Josh and Beth's house for lunch.  They found out what they were having and wanted to tell us!  I will keep it a secret for now ;)  Then we stopped by to see Kim and my grandpa Wagner before going to my dad's.  At dad's we got to hang out and catch up and of course, take Colt to see the horses.  This time he even got in the fence and pet them!  Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a busy Memorial Day weekend... which is nothing new.  We had a wedding for one of Justin's high school friends on Saturday night.  So since we were stuck in town, we took Colt to the sprinkler park for the first time on Saturday morning.  Let's just say he was not a fan.  He doesn't like getting his face wet, and there were kids everywhere splashing!
Saturday night we drove up to Tippy to spend some time with my family. Cara and Craig were there and so were Casey, Sara and the kids.  We got to play in the lake and have a lot of family fun.  That night, we left at Colt's bed time and drove to Justin's parent's place.  We spent Monday playing on the beach and going for boat rides.  Colt loves to ride on the boat, but hates to wear his life jacket.

Poopah's Birthday

Poopah is a busy man.  So to get some birthday time with him, we went to the ski lake.  Casey and Kim were skiing together and couldn't get much done with Bennett and Elle running around, so Colt and I went too.  It was so much fun to see the three of them play together.  And they all loved watched Casey and Kim ski.  They cheered from the shore and played together.  It was so cute.  Happy birthday Poopah!

Big May 5K

A few weeks ago I was able to run in the Big May 5K.  It was a celebration of Andrea's birthday.  Andrea went to my high school and her family is close to mine.  She was injured in the state fair accident, and after a lot of time and hard work, she was able to walk in the 5K her family and friends put together in honor of her.  My dad ran and pushed Colt and Jodi and I were able to run as fast or slow as we wanted!  It was a great day and I was able to see a lot of my high school friends!  It was great to catch up.
